I am a woman, a mother of two, a partner, an organizer, a feminist and much more. I am an avid reader of history and particularly enjoy early 19th century women’s history. I’ve studied undergraduate art history and graduate history (to which I am writing a thesis on as we speak) in the CUNY system here in NYC. I live in Brooklyn, work in Manhattan, love the beach and whatever this crazy city has to offer. I am particularly interested in trying to maintain a balance of things I love as a woman (art, history, cycling, activism, running, science fiction, reading, the ocean) and a mother (my kids, birth, radical parenting, crafting, education, activism, reading, the ocean). I struggle with this and constantly find myself in the background of pictures, if in them at all. I also find it hard because of the demands of the full time, office gig but I am constantly striving to reach the nirvana of part person, part mother!
